The Maine Yarn Cruise is back for 2024 with some exciting upgrades!
For those who haven’t participated before, the Maine Yarn Cruise is not an actual boat cruise, rather it’s a summer and early fall yarn crawl. As a “cruiser”, you can visit any participating shop to purchase a passport with a custom MYC bag, complete with goodies from our wonderful sponsors and shops. Then start your cruise and visit as many shops as you can before October 14th (Indigenous Peoples’ Day).
Each shop offers monthly prizes and a grand prize drawing. And if you visit all the shops, you can enter the drawing to win our End-of-the-Road Grand Prize—a $400 gift card and second place is a $200 gift card to the MYC shop of your choice. Throughout the summer, you can expect special events, local festivals, knit-a-longs, crochet-alongs, prizes, and other fun.
Exciting Changes in 2024
This year we have some exciting changes in store for all you fiber enthusiasts. The same event you know has returned—this time with new designs and an exciting digital twist. For the first time in MYC history, we are introducing virtual passports! Earn virtual punches at each store, track your progress, map your route, and more with this brand-new tool. A limited number of paper passports will still be available to those who do not own a mobile device.
